Hatchmere's Class Blog 15.7.22

Date: 15th Jul 2022 @ 3:52pm

We are at the penultimate week Hatchmerians!

We have enjoyed a super busy writing week in Hatchmere displaying our story telling talents for a writing exhibition in September (more details to follow).

Thank you to everyone who has been encouraging their child to practice our Leavers Service song and dance! We certainly have some movers and shakers in our class ready to perform next Tuesday.

As per usual in Hatchmere we have been inspired by our schoolmates! Hatchmere has had the privilege of watching a violin concert AND guitar concert performed by the resident Over St John's musicians. We have also taken a trip across the pond to France! We enjoyed learning some French words and had a delicious French menu for Lunch....croissants anyone?

Alongside this, we thoroughly enjoyed having the Commonwealth Baton move through our school. It was beautifully handed over by Whitegate Primary School and OSJ ensured its safe travel and handover to St Joseph’s Primary School. What a special experience!

Please remember that on Monday your child will need a plastic bag to take home their wonderful creations. They do NOT need their P.E kits back in school, but as explained in Mrs Snowdon’s blog, they are welcome to wear it to school if you feel they may be more comfortable in it.

Thank you to all that attended our paddling pool session. It was so lovely seeing the children have fun together and with their siblings. There is nothing better than hearing their laughter and squeals of delight!
