Hatchmere's Class Blog 19.7.24

We had a lovely final week together.
We have played, we have splashed, we have created and we have sung and danced our hearts out.
I am sure you would all agree that the children’s performance in Church on Friday was the cherry on top of a wonderful Reception year cake! I wish it had been recorded. The children were simply amazing, all of them. The very best of wishes go to our Y6 leavers.
Our Blakemere teacher (Mrs M) came to the children and said that she had already marked that song down for them to perform at their Y6 leavers play (a mere 6 yrs away), wouldn’t that be amazing!? Hatchmere and Oakmere had a little competition for the best performers on the day. The children were thrilled when the whole of Oakmere came to their classroom to admit defeat…but warned that it was game on for next year!
Hatchmere sat down through the week to discuss their first day in Sandymere. Some children expressed a worry that they might feel nervous about going into the Sandymere classroom for the first time and one of the children gave some wonderful advice; “Why don’t you wait for a friend and go in together”. Everyone agreed that they would. What a gorgeous bond they all have.
Lastly, myself, Miss Dyson and Mrs Hodge would like to thank you all for your wonderful cards, gifts and flowers. You have been so generous with your thoughtfulness and very kind words. It has been a pleasure to teach/play/giggle/sing/dance with your children we will miss them very much. Thank you all for your support over the year, I look forward to seeing what our fabulous Hatchmerians achieve in Sandymere and throughout their school journey.
