Those pesky peas are at it again!
Every morning we have had to deal with those pesky peas and the things they get up to in our classroom! You can see from the photo’s below that they have been really naughty. However, we have decided to turn anything negative that they do into a positive. They threw everything out of our playhouse; well, thank you peas, we wanted to change it into a McDonalds anyway. They threw our books everywhere; thank you, we needed to sort them into story and information books. We dealt with things as team, with a smile and didn’t let those small, round and green things make us feel cross. Great job Hatchmere.
The children have really been impressing me with their number sentences this week. They are using mathematical terms to explain their reasoning and showing me their knowledge of comparison and number bonds to 10. In the number challenge this week, Hatchmere lost to the teachers!!! Woohooo! If the teachers get to 3 points before Hatchmere, we get extra tea and biscuit time whilst the children do some work. I’m going to pop to the shops this week and buy some jammy dodgers.
We had our visiting Gymnastic coaches in today and Hatchmere were superb in both behaviour and effort. The coaches commented on their excellent skills and safe landing techniques. The children thoroughly enjoyed their lesson and I was so proud of them…it can be tricky to be taught by adults we don’t know.
Have a lovely weekend Hatchmerians, it looks like the is coming out to play too, how lovely.
