Hatchmere's Class Blog 23.9.22

Hello Hatchmere,

What a great week we had this week. We had a surprise gift from the Gingerbread Man!! He had challenged us to use his ingredients to make our own Gingerbread Men. We thoroughly enjoyed devouring them with our milk on Wednesday. I hope you all had a bite of the one the children brought home.

Hatchmere had our first full change for PE and the children were very good at listening and tried very hard to dress and undress independently, as their confidence grows they will be changing in 5 minutes flat! On our field this week we have learnt how to play the ‘Cat and Mouse’ game and an old favourite that we are sure you are familiar with, ‘Stuck in the Mud’! Apologies for the muddy knees ;).

Most of Hatchmere began their journey up the Reading Star ladder this week and are already on their way to earning a Bronze Reading Star to attach to their uniform; we had a celebratory picture in our class library. Thank you to those adults that attended our reading meeting this week, it was clear that you are committed to inspiring your children to become great readers!
