Hatchmere's Class Blog 24.5.24

Date: 24th May 2024 @ 3:40pm

We have had a fun-filled week in Hatchmere.

The children have been re-writing the story of Silly Doggy in their own words. I am sure you will agree that their writing skills are developing beautifully. I can see gorgeous letter formation, finger spaces and super spelling using the sounds that they have been taught. Well done Hatchmere!

Working in small groups, Hatchmere have been creating their large structures. They have worked together to develop an idea and organise the materials that they need. The children have worked in detail, creating complex areas that have been enjoyed by the whole class. We have had a park, zoo and London. Great work by all.

We have had another fun number week working on capacity and length. As you can see from the pictures the children have enjoyed exploring maths games and investigating measurement.

Our Teddy Bears Picnic was a success! The children thoroughly enjoyed sharing their class book, Silly Doggy by Adam Stower, with their adults. And the rain stayed away, hurrah!! Thank you to our fabulous Hatchmerian families for a joining us for a lovely afternoon.
