What a busy week we have had!
Can you believe we have had yet another Gold Reading Award winner!? At least 140 recorded instances of reading at home over 35 weeks. What an amazing achievement.
The Evil Pea has continued to torment us. However, we have created some fantastic traps that have managed to capture 2 Evil Pea’s. Sadly, the celebrations were short-lived. The peas escaped and threw all of our super-hero outfits outside. We were also left a letter calling us Super Zeros…how unkind! Back to the drawing board Hatchmere, we will catch and contain those naughty peas! In the meantime we have written reports for Mrs Snowdon to read about what has been going on.
Our mathematicians have been hard at work exploring number and working out which numbers were odd and even. We have used the terms double, equal and share in our investigations. The children have also been re-visiting pattern making and spotting some mistakes in the order and rectifying them. Our number line challenge this week was won by Team 1 who created their number line in 20.9 seconds! Well done Team 1!!
Hatchmere have very much enjoyed watering our various plants, fruits and vegetables. We have some warm and dry weather coming so they made sure the plants had a really good drink. Mrs Teece had a taste tester of our allotment grown strawberries and is happy to report that they are delicious. Yum, yum.
Unfortunately, we did not get the opportunity to vote for our Drawing Club focus for next week, however we will do this on Monday instead.
We have our final transition session in Sandymere on Monday. The children have really enjoyed these sessions in what will be their new classroom. It is so exciting!
Have a gorgeous weekend!
