Hatchmere's Class Blog 4.11.22

Date: 4th Nov 2022 @ 3:00pm

Hello Hatchmerians

Welcome back after the half term.  We have enjoyed hearing all about their time spent with family and their halloween celebrations. We have been inspired to write all about it! The children have been taking the sounds (phonemes) that they have been learning and have transferred it into the written (grapheme) letter. This is the beginnings of phonetically decodable writing and it is amazing to see! Please see the pictures below for some examples. We are super proud of them!

If your daughter is in our class and is starting to wear tights may I suggest putting in a pair of socks into her PE bag.  We do have a box of socks they can borrow,  and the pink ones are very popular, but most children prefer their own socks.

This week there has been lots of excitement about what is happening on our school field. The diggers have rolled in and equipment delivered. The children have been making some predictions; a McDonalds, swimming pool, unicorn trampoline, big sandpit, spa facilties (that may have been from the adults in the room ;)). More progress will made next week and we have created a viewing platform so the children are observing the developments as they happen.

The children will now be moving to 2 P.E sessions a week. Please ensure that your child is dressing and undressing themselves at home so that they may change themselves confidently at school and enjoy a full session with their classmates. To help them with this task, please ensure unform is loose fitting.

See you next week,

The Hatchmere Team.
