Welcome back Hatchmerians!

**Ive copied the below from Mrs Snowdon’s blog this week. Please would you consider either joining our PTA or volunteering for an event? Our PTA is so fabulous at supporting the school and your children. Their fund-raising goes towards learning equipment/offsetting costs for school events etc. They are the most wonderful people, please go and be wonderful with them:

A little belated, but thank you so much to everyone who was able to attend our gorgeous Autumn Fair before the holidays. It really was a special treat – with pumpkins, scarecrow stuffing, toasting of marshmallows, fabulous acoustic music and so much more! A huge thank you to our very small PTA for being able to hold such a big event – these things cannot happen without their dedication, time and enthusiasm.

Our PTA held a planning meeting on Monday for future events. Sadly, there were only 3 people in attendance. We have sent out a request for support for the Christmas Fair with a deadline for your responses. If we do not get enough adult support, then unfortunately we will be unable to run a Christmas Fair this year which would be a great shame. Thank you in advance for any help that you are able to offer.

This week our class are featured in the Northwich and Winsford Guardian. Please pick up a copy from any local news retailer and you will find us in their special pull-out supplement.

We are now on our 2nd Half Term and have 6 weeks until our December finish (notice, no C word yet). This is certainly the most action packed half term and that is without adding learning into the mix.

Hatchmere are becoming experts in creating a numicon numberlines for 1-5 and relating a numeral to the matching numicon. We have made sandcastles in the outside classroom, and filled cups and bottles inside to show our understanding of capacity  – Full, empty, nearly full, nearly empty, half full, most and least.

Have you heard about the Hatchmere Police Station? The children took a democratic vote, out of a range of options, and the Police Station had the most votes. We have been catching bad guys, helping with road accidents and reuniting lost animals. Super work!

Have a lovely weekend.
