Hatchmere's Class Blog 12.5.23

Hello Hatchmerians.

The children have been writing a letter to Mummy Bear this week to let her know that we found her cub and we are keeping him safe with us until he can be collected. Mummy Bear must be so worried about her missing little one.

In maths this week the Hatchmere have been challenged to explore which numbers share 'equally' and which don't. We have pretended we are sharing sweets with our friends and how it wouldn't be fair for one to have more than the other so the children have been very careful to pick a number of sweets that they could share fairly. Can your child identify odd and even numbers? Can they explain to you how they know?

You may have heard all about our new role play outfits! The children have been very excited to dress up as different animals in the safari park. We have even had a zoo keeper outfit on hand to keep those pesky animals under control!

The weather has been quite changeable this week, however we have utilised our outside areas lots! Please may we remind adults to ensure their child has a waterproof coat at hand every day so that outside provision can be accessed by all children at all times. We are out come rain or shine and so are the children, providing they have suitable clothing/outerwear.
