Hatchmere's Special Day 14.2.23

Congratulations Hatchmere!
We have had a wonderful day at our lovely Over St John’s Church learning about the Christian tradition of marriage and christening a child. The children really enjoyed taking it in turns to be part of a wedding party, George (our Vicar) was there to officiate and even put on the wedding march as the children walked down the aisle.
The christening was another special Christian celebration the children got to act out. We had the parents of the baby, god parents and a special christening shawl that baby was wrapped in. Hatchmere even got to explore the very special font that is situated at the back of our church.
The children got back to the classroom to take part in the wedding breakfast. We ate our snack, had some very yummy wedding cake and toasted the happy couples. Hatchmere then danced the night* (*late morning) away.
What a fantastic day!!
