Hello Oakmere 5.6.20

Date: 4th Jun 2020 @ 7:08am

Good morning Oakmere,

We hope you all found some nice things to do over half term and are now settling back into more of a routine at home this week. We enjoyed the warm weather and being outside lots but I have to say I was quite happy to see the rain and some cooler temperatures as my hay-fever was getting really bad. We said goodbye to our last butterfly which was sad, but Alice and Matilda both really enjoyed having them and seeing them grow and transform.

Mrs Starsiak and I are now back in school teaching our 'bubble' of key worker children. It is all very different but very nice to see some familiar faces and be back in the classroom. We do - as always - still miss our Oakmere family and can't wait to see more of you whenever that is possible.

As you will know from Mrs Bettley's blogs, we are no longer posting learning updates on our Oakmere blog or class page. You will find everything you need on the Year 3 or 4 home learning page of the website and there are several options for you there, many of which we were already directing you to anyway. If you find some things from your year group a bit tricky, then simply go to the year group below, and likewise, if things are too easy you could try the year group above or a different website perhaps. We know it isn't easy for you or your parents trying to do this at home, so we just ask that each day you give something a go. If you don't understand or don't like one particular thing, just try something else. Anything you do is better than nothing smiley

One of us will check in with a blog each week, so goodbye for now and have a lovely weekend!

Mrs Riley smiley
