What a lovely sunny week it’s been!
In English, we’ve completed our autobiographies on Ruby Bridges. Pupils have written detailed pieces and remembered to include all the key elements we’ve been focusing on in this unit: past tense, chronological order, conjunctions to link ideas, and adverbials.
In Maths, we’ve continued working on decimals, placing them on a number line and rounding them up to the nearest whole number.
In D&T, pupils have enjoyed making stars using wooden sticks.
In Science, we’ve looked at various mechanisms and how they reduce the force needed for a task. We’ve explored everyday examples of levers, pulleys, and gears.
We’ve been enjoying PE in the sunshine, learning rugby skills. Please ensure pupils have their full PE kit, suitable for outdoor lessons on Thursday.
Well done to Courban for winning the raffle prize! Congratulations also to George for his Over and Above award, received for helping others in the class edit their English work.
Have a lovely bank holiday weekend, and we hope you’re able to take advantage of the beautiful weather.
