Linmere's class blog 21/4/23

The children have come back to school with lots of energy and have managed to get lots of work done in their first week back.

Over the last week, the children have started their DT project that involves designing and creating their own kite. Lots of  the class seemed eager to get going on this project and during the week they have managed to research current kite designs and come up with a design criteria for their own kites. 

Maths this week continued to focus on area and the children learnt how to find the area of compound and irregular shapes. The children were challenged in these sessions but worked really hard to overcome the obstacles thrown their way. We also started our new history unit this week which is based around Roman Britain; this lesson involved us looking at the Roman Empire and what Romans brought to Britain.
