We've made it to the end of the half-term and well done everyone for getting through a hectic last 6 weeks.

This week, we continued our work on fractions and the year 5 children worked really hard to compare fractions with different denominators. For our literacy, we started our new book 'Blue John' and we looked at vocabulary and story ideas that link to caves. 

During topic, we looked at how train technology has changed over time and the postives/negatives of the technology. We also looked at how plants transport water and we've set up an investigation about this using lettuce leaves. We hope this investigation will check which factors influence water transportation.
