Linmere's weekly blog 10/5/24

Another week is over in Linmere and we've finally got a bit of sunshine. 

This week involved us starting lots of new topics and the children were really enthusiastic about their new history unit on the Romans. For this lesson, we looked at putting some key points from the Roman period in chronological order and then looking at how this time period links to our past units (Greeks and Anglo-Saxons/ Vikings).

During literacy this week, the children did some work on conjunctions and they all produced a fantastic set of instructions to help Odysseus's men survive. We also looked at comparing, adding and subtracting fractions and the children managed to understand these tricky concepts and apply them.
