Linmere's weekly blog 1/3/24

We're back following the half-term and Linmere have started where they left off. 

Over the week, the children looked at common factors, factor pairs and prime numbers. The children worked really hard on identifying prime numbers and checking whether numbers are prime using their factor rainbows. English this week involved the children making their own villain for their story and describing its physical features. Lots of the children really enjoyed describing their character and creating a picture of them. 

A great piece of work this week was the children's artwork where they looked at making a pattern using tessellation. The children were challenged to make 3 and 4 sided shapes and then put them into pattern. Once the pattern was formed, the children then painted the shapes using watercolours to create a nice, visual pattern.
