Linmere's weekly blog 16/6/23

Linmere's week has been packed once again and some good work has been done.

During the week, the year 5 children were challenged to convert improper fractions to mixed number fractions and vice versa. All the year 5s did brilliantly to get this tricky concept and managed to push themselves onto some worded problems relating to this. Our literacy work this week was based around making relative clauses for the main character in our book, who is called Chris Hadfield. The children explored Chris's early life and then formed paragraphs containing relative clauses about Chris Hadfield's early life. 

A really good piece of work from the children this week was their work on historical sources. In this lesson, the children read some Roman historians findings on the wars in Roman Britain. The children got really into this lesson and took some care when presenting their work.
