Linmere's weekly blog 2/2/24

Linmere have had a really good week and have done lots of nice work.

On Wednesday, the class got to visit the local library where they had the chance to look at the different books available. Lots of the children really enjoyed spending some time reading and learning about the different after-school clubs they could access.

During literacy this week, we looked at forming descriptive sentences to describe Beowulf and Grendel’s fight scene. The children really threw themselves into this work and at the end of the week they wrote a fantastic action scene.

In our other learning this week, we did a new and improved investigation on parachutes. The children were challenged to change this investigation last week and then on Thursday we carried out the investigation in a more controlled and fair way.
