Linmere's weekly blog 26/5/23

Well that half-term is done and dusted and Linmere have done lots of good work this week. 

During the week, the children were challenged  to add, subtract and compare fractions; the year 5s went one step further with this and compared fractions with different denominators. Literacy this week involved the children forming more poems about nature and creating metaphors within these poems. All the children did brilliantly not only to create these poems but then to also perform these to the class.

Our topic work this week involved us looking at the planets in space and then looking at some rebellions in Roman Britain. It was fantastic to hear the children discuss and debate whether these rebellions were a good or bad choice.
