Linmere's weekly blog 6.2.22

Lots of good work has been done in Linmere once agan this week and the children have been challenged in lots of ways.

This week, the children were challenged to write a letter as the main character from our book and this letter was aimed at a family member. The class really got into this activity and wrote some brilliant letters describing a scene and key characters. In topic, we looked at the importance of some of the 1970s inventions and discussed how they've influenced the modern day. A really relevant topic we worked on this week was flooding and the children looked at the causes of flooding and investigated how prepared our classroom was against a flood. 

A  nice piece of work we did this week was a community project for Fowles funeral service. For this, the children colourfully painted some rocks which will be used at the funeral service.
