Linmere's weekly blog 8/3/24

We've had an interesting week in Linmere and on Thursday we did lots of different activities to celebrate world book day. 

For this day, we read the story Blue Chameleon and looked at creating our own version of this story. During these lessons, the children were the authors and illustrators of their own stories and had to come up with five random objects that the chameleon could pretend to be. It was great to see all the children being creative and taking some independance when making these stories and lots of them looked really good. 

Maths this week involved the children looking at squared and cubed numbers and during this the  year 4s worked on their times table skills. The children then went a step further and applied this to a range of problems to improve their understanding.
