Oakmere - Welcome back!

I hope that you have all had a lovely half term. We have got lots of interesting activities planned for our week back.

We shall be spending some time learning about Remembrance Day and writing some poetry based on this event using a very special book - Where the Poppies Now Grow.

We shall also be learning about the work of Operation Christmas Child and starting to put together our shoe boxes for girls and boys aged 5-9. Any donations of stationary, hygiene supplies, small toys, scarfs, hats, gloves etc would be gratefully received. Please come and see me if you would like any further information.

Doubling, halving and multiplication will be the theme in maths this week.

Finally, we shall be using atlases to help locate the World continents, Equator and Tropic lines.

I am also very excited to see your Central American country poster.
