Oakmere 10.07.21

Despite there being just one more week to go before the summer break we are all still working hard in Oakmere.

We have started on a mini project about “Railways in Britain”. The children have created timelines and written a biography about James Watt. The amount of information they retained was amazing.

In maths we are bringing all learning together to help solve challenges and complete investigations – keep plugging away at those times tables, it really does make a difference.

This week was our last PE session with Mr Cann and the children enjoyed taking part in a variety of different activities – it was great to see them use all the skills they have been working on over the last few weeks.

A few reminders:

On Friday we collected in any reading books that were in school. If your child hasn’t yet returned theirs, or if you find any others at home, please could you send them into school next week.

The children will be bringing their books home on Thursday so please can you ensure they have a bag with them to carry them all.

I know some children are very excited about a certain football match on Sunday – fingers crossed they get the result they’re hoping for!
