Oakmere Friday News

Good afternoon!

How is it the end of another week? It has been another busy one. The children are really finding their rhythm in Oakmere now, gaining independence every day. We have talked a lot about taking responsibility for your learning and it has been fabulous seeing so many taking that on board.

In Literacy, we have worked on speech, using speech bubbles and inverted commas. The children did a fantastic job and showed a real understanding of it.

In Maths, we are carrying on our place value work and we did our second times tables test – we were so pleased with the progress overall. Keep practising at home! We were keen to respond to the challenges on TTRockStars this week and we will look forward to more battles!

The children also investigated Lowri and had a go at using paint to reproduce characters.

In science, we have spoken about what a healthy diet looks like, what we should eat to keep healthy and how much of it. The children did a great job and sorting items into the correct categories.

Just a kind reminder to make sure that your child put their hair up on PE days. Many thanks.

Enjoy a restful weekend everyone, see you next week.

The Oakmere team.
