Oakmere news 15.01.21

Date: 15th Jan 2021 @ 2:11pm

We are now all, slowly, adapting to our new routines and ways of working.

It has been lovely to see so many of you joining us at our daily live contact sessions. I do apologise for the technical issues we had on Friday. We could see all of the children but I believe they couldn’t always see us. I hope that they still managed to follow the activity.

During the live sessions I have been trying to go over anything that seemed particularly difficult or areas that you have requested a bit of additional support with. Please do let us know in the coming weeks if there is something you’d like us to go over.

Time ran away from us on Friday and I didn’t get a chance a to let you know that we are resuming our weekly raffle ticket draw.

Raffle tickets will be given out as they would in school. We’ll keep all raffle tickets in our classroom tin.

During Friday’s live contact we will make the draw and if a child at home wins we will keep their ticket safe until they come back to choose their prize.

We will also resume sharing work from home and school and will display them on our excellent examples board.

This week we have been particularly impressed with the amount of maths work we have had back. It would be lovely to see a few more pieces of English next week too.

You will perhaps have noticed an extra link (or two) on some of the work sent home. As mentioned in Mrs Snowdon’s blog, we are trying to record some voice overs for some sessions which may help in the delivery and understanding of the sessions.

Have a great weekend, keep warm and safe.

We look forward to seeing you all again next week.
