Oakmere World Maths Day

A very busy, Maths-filled day was enjoyed in Oakmere today! We continued our work on measure with adding and subtracting lengths - particularly tricky when converting from one unit to another is involved!

Then we began some work on statistics after reading the book 'How Many Jelly Beans?'. The children became data collectors as they found out the answer to different questions in groups, such as 'Which is Oakmere's favourite flavour of jellybean?'. They then had to record the findings in a tally chart and then had the challenge of presenting the data as a pictorgram or a bar chart. Well done to everyone for rising to the challenge!
