Oakmere's first week back - 08.09.2017

Wow! What a wonderful first week we have had in Oakmere! The children have settled in really well and we have really enjoyed getting to know each other.

We have produced some lovely poems about colour. We then had to think about what our chosen colour looked like, felt like, tasted like, smelt like and sounded like. We then used these ideas to write our poems. These are now proudly presented in our classroom. Please feel free to come and have a look at them at the end of the day.

We have also started to think about our class Christian Value - forgiveness. We read and discussed a story from the Bible which showed forgiveness and then began to think about forgiveness means to us.

We have also started to explore our topic 'Earth Matters' and the children are very keen to start to learn about mountains, volcanoes and earthquakes. The children have also asked if we could learn about hurricanes in light of recent world events, which I was very impressed by.
