Good afternoon, 

Well, this was an interesting week to say the least! The snow made a somewhat surprising appearance and the children have handled it beautifully. 

Today, the children were treated to a special Opera show where they got to take part in a British Sign Language song - they did very well. They all enjoyed it tremendously. 

Science has brought a new topic, Rocks. The children got to discuss what they know and investigated different kinds of rocks. In English, we have started to find out more about our book by investigating how the different characters feel. The children's football skills have been truly admirable today! They showed incredible control! In geography, they have started to investigate France - something I know a little about!

We have started to look forward to end of term assessment and we are so far so incredibly proud of how far the children have come so far this year! It is clear that their efforts as much as yours (supporting them with reading, spelling and Maths homework at home) is making a massive difference to their learning. The Oakmere children have such a positive attitude to learning - we couldn't be prouder of them!
