Oakmere's last Friday News 15.7.22

Date: 15th Jul 2022 @ 3:28pm

Good afternoon,

Well, how is it the end of the last full week of the current school year? It's been a busy week as always. The children wrote and presented their last piece of writing of year. We created some bar chart linked to the Commonwealth and practised telling the time. In French, we completed the directions to go with our city mpas. This week, we also had French Day. The children found out what the 14th July - Bastille Day is about and we learnt about a famous French person - Louis Braille. We had a go at reading and writing some Braille! It was good fun.

Next week brings the last 2 days of school and they promise to be hot. Here are the school's recommendations:

  • apply sun cream before school, the higher the protection the better.
  • bring a hat
  • bring a water bottle
  • if you think your child will be cooler in their PE kits, they are allowed to come in in their PE kits - however, it has to be PE kits, NOT home clothes.

Our end, we will make sure the children are drinking regularly and are kept in the shade/inside the classroom. PE will not happen on those two days.

On Tuesday, we have our Leavers' service in church - we hope to see you there.

Have a lovely, warm weekend and we will see you next week.

Take care, the Oakmere Team.
