Oakmere's Rainforest Homes

Yesterday afternoon and this morning, the children in Oakmere have been very busy creating their own rainforest homes. We began by looking at some photographs of different rainfortest homes and made a list of similarities and differences between them. The children then had to design a structure using the resources brought in from home (plus a lot of sellotape in some cases!) and finally they set about constructing them! It wasn't an easy process and made us appreciate the challenges that people living in the rainforest may face when building their homes. Well done everyone on working so hard and sticking with it, even when you might have felt like giving up!
