Oakmere's weekly update - 02.02.2018

Date: 4th Feb 2018 @ 5:26pm

Firstly, I just want to thank the children for working extremely hard in all lessons this week. The commitment, determination and effort they have shown was lovely to see and is also reflected in the work they have produced.

We have now finished our multiplication and division unit in Maths and shall be moving on to measure. The children have developed in confidence in using the division methods they have been taught and have started to apply it when solving word problems. We also tackled a substantial problem in Maths at the end of the week, The children need to apply both their multiplication skills as well as their reasoning skills. Well done!

We have begun to write our volcano information reports in English. They have started off extremely well and  I am looking forward to seeing the final results.

In R.E. we have started to learn about Sikhism and the values that Sikhs have and  follow. The children were keen to ask lots of questions and to learn more about the religion. Through learning about the different faiths practises the children are encouraged to develop respect and tolerance for those of different faiths and beliefs.

Great job this week guys!

See you Monday
