Oakmere's weekly update - 12.05.2017

We are all throughly enjoying The Minpins in English and so far we have completed some lovely pieces of work based on what we have read. We still only know the name of the musterious beast in the forest and are looking forward to finding out more about it.

Maths has focused on recapping on the formal operations of addition, subtraction and multiplication and I am very impressed with how well the children are independently using them. We are continuing to apply them to word problems and are exploring appraches for tackling two-step problems.

We have learnt about the Sikh naming ceremony in R.E. and this has encouraged us to leanr about our own name too.
