Our week 15th January - Linmere

Date: 21st Jan 2018 @ 8:34pm

Despite the cold, wet weather this week our rugby training with Sale Sharks continued on Monday. It was lovely to see the children trying hard and giving it 100%.

We continued with our poetry topic and wrote some amazing poems based on "I know someone..." The poems the children created were a joy to read.

In maths we looked at multiplication and completed some challenging word problems demonstrating some great reasoning skills.

The end of the week was a little quieter as we waved goodbye to some of the y4 pupils who went to Beeston. However, those of us who were left continued to work hard. Thursday was spent studying the route to Beeston, finding out all about castles and creating our own shields. On Friday we worked in teams to create structures, from spaghetti and marshmallows, which would withstand an earthquake. Well done to Lily, Lily, Eden and Owen who demonstrated great team work and built the tallest structure.

It was lovely to be reunited with the Y4's who returned from Beeston. It sounded like they had an amazing trip but were no doubt in need of a good night’s sleep!

We are still in need to any empty tin cans so if you do have any please send them into school this week, thank you.
