Our week 19th March- Linmere

Date: 24th Mar 2018 @ 9:23pm

Once again Linmere have had an incredibly busy week. Work continued on our chosen text "Gorilla". The children have planned their own version of the story and are now beginning to write them. We can't wait to read them!

In maths we are still busy studying fractions-finding fractions of amounts and adding fractions. Don't forget to keep practicing your times tables, you'll be amazed at how much it will help you.

There has been a lot of art work completed this week: propaganda posters and a blitz collage. We did also manage to squeeze in time to look at the role women played in WW2. On top of all that we tried our hand at making some WW2 ration recipes. Some of the biscuits proved to be a bigger hit than others!

Congratulations to Max who did incredibly well at the maths challenge day on Wednesday-coming 1st, 2nd and 3rd in in the various challenges. A huge well done to Jack, Brooke and Max for representing the school so well at the pupil voice presentation on Thursday. The final congratulations go to Mya, Annie and Luke who represented the school at the cross country event on Thursday. What a talented group of children we have in Linmere.

Thank you to all of you who were able to attend parent’s evening this week. It was lovely to see you all and share your child’s progress with you. Please remember our door is always open if you need to discuss anything further.

See you all next week.
