Our week 23rd October - Linmere

Well, we made it to the end of the first half term and what a great end we had. The grand finale was of course the harvest festival which we celebrated in church. Well done to all the children who performed so brilliantly to packed church. Thank you to everyone who donated a food item/items which we will deliver to the local food bank.

In English we continued in our role as journalists and completed both our research and a written newspaper article about the Holbeck Hotel landslide. I think there may well be some budding future journalists in Linmere, the articles were a real pleasure to read.

Maths work focused on improving our understanding of word problems, the children really have tried hard to remember to take their RUCSAC on their word problem solving journey.

This we week we also had the pleasure of meeting the parents and carers of our wonderful children. We hope you enjoyed looking at all the work your children have produced. We really enjoyed meeting you all and having the opportunity to discuss your child's progress. Please remember our door is always open if there is anything further that you would like to know or talk through.

We hope you all have a wonderful and relaxing half term break and look forward to seeing you all in a weeks time ready and raring to learn!
