Our week 7th May - Linmere

We have been extremely impressed with the level of writing the children have shown us this week. They have written a recount and described a setting from our current text "The Hunter". The children really took on the role of our main character and put themselves in her position to help them describe the journey she took to try and find her way back home.

In maths we have continued with our work on decimals. Whilst the y5 pupils moved on to looking at thousandths and ensuring they know and understood the value of each digit in any given number, the y4 children have worked on comparing and ordering decimals.

We started our new topic this week and began by locating North and South America on a world map, finding the equator and then moving on to learn about the different layers you can find in a rainforest.

We look forward to another busy week next week.
