Our week in Oakmere - 13.03.20

Date: 13th Mar 2020 @ 4:24pm

It’s been another busy week in Oakmere! In history we have been “detectives” looking at sources and trying to decipher what they tell us. We also found out that some sources can contradict each other making things a bit more confusing!

Our English work continued to focus on our text of The Big Blue Whale. The children wrote and performed their own poems. It’s great to see how much they are growing in confidence when reading and performing aloud. We also began to look at what structures we can use when planning non narrative writing. The children also wrote all about how whales eat and the type of food they enjoy.

In maths we have moved on to fractions and looked used a fraction wall to help us find equivalent fractions. Some children also spotted how we can use our knowledge of the times tables to help us with this.

We are continuing to work alongside Sale Sharks in PE sessions and learning all about tag rugby.

Have a great weekend.
