Our week in Oakmere - 20.09.19

We have had a lovely week this week with lots of sporting activity. On Wednesday we went to Moss Farm to take part in the Go, Run, Fun. The children were a real credit to the school - their behaviour was outstanding and they all enjoyed making their way around the course. On Thursday we had a gymnastics coach come in to guide us through the 5 basic shapes used in gymnastics. We are all looking forward to seeing what she has in store for us next week.

In maths we have been looking at partitioning numbers, adding or subtracting 1, 10, 100 and a 1000 to a number.

The children have worked incredibly hard in English. They began the week researching seals and writing up a report. They did so well we have now them up on display. At the end of the week the children wrote and performed their own animal riddles. A huge well done to them all - standing up in front of everyone and speaking can be quite daunting but they all took it in their stride.

On Friday the children created their own personal timelines in history and enjoyed looking at some of the photos that you sent in.
