Our week in Oakmere 04.10.19

Date: 4th Oct 2019 @ 4:02pm

It's been another busy week in Oakmere. There has been lots of great writing going on, from diary entries to setting descriptions. We are all really proud of just how hard the children have worked on their writing this week.

In maths we have been looking at place value, number bonds and rounding. Year 4 pupils have had to look at rounding much bigger numbers to the nearest 10, 100 and 1000!

Despite the weather this week we did manage to get out to explore the school grounds and collect some "animals" we found so that we could take them back into the classroom to classify them. Don't worry no animals were harmed and all were returned to their natural environment.

Geography work involved some sketches to show how land is used - they look amazing!

Hope you all manage to stay warm and dry this weekend.

See you next week.
