Our week in Oakmere 12.12.20

Date: 12th Dec 2020 @ 1:04pm

We’re quickly approaching the end of our first term and it’s been a busy week in Oakmere.

We’ve been getting festive in English and have written some Christmas shape poems. Finding the right words to fill the spaces of the shape proved to be a bit tricky but we all get there in the end, well done Oakmere.

In maths year 3 continued to work on statistics drawing their own bar graphs and interpreting data from tables. Meanwhile, year 4 worked on interpreting and drawing line graphs.

On Friday we had our last cricket session in which the children played a couple of longer games. Both their batting and fielding skills have come on incredibly this half term.

The children have learnt to sign “We wish you a Merry Christmas” this week, alongside some other Christmassy words. I’m sure they’d love to give you a performance if you asked!

Our kindness advent calendar has also challenged them to make a card for a neighbour and tidy their rooms this weekend.

Have a great weekend and we’ll see you next week.
