Our week in Oakmere 16.10.20

Well, last week was certainly a busy week sports wise. On Tuesday the children enjoyed a football session - there'll be another one to follow this week. On Thursday we tried hard to improve our skipping skills. The session was great fun and most of us managed to do a few more skips by the end of it even if we couldn't quite complete all of the tricks. The heel, toe tap was a step too far for me! Then finally on Friday the children started to share the games they have been inventing in PE with each other. Again, we will look forward to sharing the rest of the games this Friday.

In English we continued to look at the story of the Minpins - looking at the character of Little Billy and writing a description to match his character profile. We also completed some grammar work.

We continued looking at addition and subtraction in maths and used concrete resources to help us. Y4 recapped column addition - I have to say I was really impressed with how much they remembered and their presentation was outstanding, well done y4!
