Our week in Oakmere 25.09.20

Date: 25th Sep 2020 @ 10:14pm

The weather may not have been quite as kind this week but we’ve still managed to have a great week in Oakmere.

In English we took on the role of Katherine Johnson and wrote letters to inspire the children of today. We also looked at apostrophes for contractions and worked hard to learn the rules and use apostrophes in our own writing.

The children enjoyed playing the game “buzz” in maths – if you’re not sure what it is I’m sure they’ll be keen to explain and share it with you. We’ve also spent some time counting both forwards and backwards in 5s, 50s and 25s.

Alongside improving our running skills in PE we also looked at improving our throwing and catching. All these skills were then brought together in a team game which was a lot fun.

On Friday afternoon the children had a go at using different pencils to explore shading and various shading techniques – I hope they didn’t come home too messy!

Have a great weekend and we look forward to seeing you all again next week.
