Sandymere Class Blog 24.01.25
Date: 24th Jan 2025 @ 2:43pm
We have had a very busy week in Sandymere and worked with some different adults too. On Monday, Mrs Worstencroft was the teacher and then on Tuesday Mrs Smith before Mrs Bettley came back on Wednesday. Apologies that reading books were changed on a different day and there was one book instead of two. Normal routines will resume next week!
A huge well done to our class for having the highest attendance again this week.
In maths we have been learning about shapes. We started last week with 3D shapes and this week we have begun to explore 2D shapes. There are some quite tricky names for us to remember, recognise and read. 3d shapes – cube, cuboid, pyramid, cylinder sphere. 2d shapes – square, rectangle, circle, triangle.
In Curious Quests (English) last week we had to help the faithful friends get past a lava lake and this week there was a biscuit goblin to defeat. To help the faithful friends we have to show them our writing skills. We must have done an amazing job as the friends have ended the week safe and sound. We have shown them how to use capital letter and full stops in sentences and how to sound out words carefully when writing them.
We had to do PE inside today as out ball skills would have been severely affected by the strong winds. We have been working on our passing and receiving skills.
We hope that you have a lovely weekend,
Team Sandymere.
