Sandymere Learning Update 4.3.16

Firstly thank you so much for attending parents evening this week. It was so lovely to see you all and a great opportunity to share and celebrate the wonderful progress your children are making.

 

Yet again it's been another busy week. In literacy we have been exploring our creative writing skills with more animal poetry and looked particularly at adjectives, nouns and verbs.

In maths we have been honing our mental addition skills and practising adding money. Please do keep practising addition to 20 at home. We have also been working on solving problems using addition. 

In topic the children have started writing about what it would be like to visit the Antarctic and have continued to make bottle penguins. We hope you managed to take a peek at these during parents evening. 

In PE we have focussed on working on using our body in different ways to move and travel around the room. We even tried moving in small groups in unison. This was trickier than we thought it would be! Great fun and lots of giggles was had by all!

the children have begun to build their chassis in design and technology and they are looking very impressive.
