Sandymere's Class Blog 3.5.24
Date: 3rd May 2024 @ 3:23pm
Yesterday we all smiled for the camera as we had our class photograph taken. We put the information about this in your child’s bag yesterday so we hope that you found it!
We have been doing a lot of writing in our English this week. Everyone is getting really good at trying to remember to use capital letters and full stops correctly. We have also been focussing on the use of the ed suffix for past tense verbs.
Our measures work has continued in maths this time with mass and weight. We had lots of fun investigating which objects are heavier and lighter than a pair of scissors.
In our science we have been botanists, observing plants in the school grounds. We used an online plant identification tool to make sure that we knew the correct names of the plants that we found.
We continued the observation theme in our Art this week. Our new art theme is birds. We watched videos of garden birds and paused the video to complete an observational drawing. We looked at the shapes and patterns that we could see.
We said a sad goodbye to Harry and Noah today. We all wish you lots of love and luck at your new school.
We hope that the sunshine returns and that you have a lovely long weekend.
Team Sandymere.
