We’ve had a fantastic week in Sandymere, full of creativity, learning, and festive fun! Here’s a little look at what we’ve been up to…

Design & Technology (DT)
This week we explored moving pictures and learned how to create a sliding mechanism. Our theme was dinosaurs, and the children loved making their pictures come to life!

Maths
We have been working on addition by counting on and using a number line, all with a fun Christmas theme. We will continue to practice accurate use of a number line to build confidence and fluency.

English
We have completed our first set of Curious Quests inspired by the book Meesha Makes Friends. Today, we wrote our final piece in role as Meesha, creating diary entries. We are incredibly proud of the writing and the progress everyone has made this term!

PE
In PE, we created group dances to Christmas music—it was very exciting and full of festive cheer!

Geography
We have been exploring aerial views on maps using Google Earth. This is something you can access for free at home, so feel free to explore together!
