We have a had a really good first week back after the Christmas break. 
I hope you all enjoyed reading the thank you  note from your child on Tuesday. From the news that they shared they all have a lot to be thankful for. 

We have begun a new story in English called The Lion Inside.
In maths we have continued with our place value work up to 20. We looked at one more, one less and how to use a number line. 
In our history this week we looked at sources of evidence about our school. We found out that our school has been here about 160 years. We got to see writing and maths that a girl had done at our school in 1918, it was very neat and she obviously worked very hard. We looked at old photographs of children at our school and they weren't wearing a school uniform! 
Our other lessons this week have been: RE, PE, Phonics, Spelling, Handwriting, PSHCE, music.
