Sandymere's Class Blog 5.9.25

What a fantastic first week we've had in Sandymere!

The children have settled in beautifully and have been busy getting to know one another while learning the important routines that help us stay ready, respectful and safe throughout the day.

One of the key routines we've introduced is our line order. This helps us move around school calmly and safely - whether we're heading out to play, coming back inside or leaving the classroom at the end of the day.

This week, we've enjoyed a wide range of activities including:

  • Two PE lessons where we explored movement and teamwork,
  • Phonics and maths sessionsto kick-start our learning journey,
  • An exciting music lesson and
  • Our first reflections on our class Christian value: thankfulness.

We’ve also begun our Mini Missions—independent tasks that help us build confidence and responsibility. The children complete these activities on their own and then file them in their special folders. You’ll receive a selection of their Mini Mission work each week, most likely on Mondays, so you can celebrate their progress at home.

Thank you for your support during this exciting first week. We hope you have a lovely, restful weekend.

Warm wishes,
Team Sandymere
