We have certainly had a class of excited children this week and can tell that Christmas activities have begun at home. We have an advent calendar in class and each day we open the door to reveal a new jigsaw. We are having great fun completing them together. 

In Curious Quests this week, PK sent us the story Mog's Christmas by Judith Kerr. There are lots of stories about Mog the cat and we have talked about asking for them on their next visit to a local library. 

In maths we have started to learn about subtraction. Using physical objects and crossing out pictures. Next week we will learn to subtract by counting back on a number line. 

In RE we are focussing on the Christmas Story and exploring why we celebrate Christmas each year. 

There are lots of Christmas activites happening over the next few weeks so please look at Mrs Snowdon's blog so that you don't miss out.
