The Heartstone Odyssey

Since February, Blakemere have been studying the novel 'The Heartstone Odyssey'. It is the story of Chandra and the difficulties she encounters. On her journey she meets the mice who tell her the story of the Heartstone. Once Chandra sees the Heartstone in action she knows that it needs to be shared with the world. However, there are many who try to stop her.

The values of Heartstone are something we can all hope to develop; tolerance, respect, friendship,encouragement and hope.

One of the main settings in the story is Wellminster Cathedral, where a small piece of the Heartstone is in one of the stained glass windows. We imagined what other images would be in the Heartstone window: images that convey the Heartstone values.
